Countries that have so far qualified for Euro 2024

Euro 2024 will be held in Germany and teams are booking their place in the prestigious international tournament.

The European Championship will hold its 17th edition and Germany has been chosen as the host country, with some of the best teams in the world hoping to be at the tournament.

A total of 24 teams will participate and the qualification cycle started in March 2023, ending in November 2023.

There are 20 places, with two teams advancing from each qualifying group. The hosts qualify automatically and the remaining three places are decided by the Nations League play-offs.

Germany | host
Germany qualified for Euro 2024 as host nation.

This will be their 14th European Championship appearance and Julian Nagelsmann will be hoping to lead his country to glory.

Germany have won the European Championship three times – 1972, 1980 and 1996 – and will be looking to end a 28-year wait for the trophy.

Belgium | Group F
Belgium were one of the first teams to book their place at Euro 2024 after getting through Group F.

Now managed by Italian coach Domenico Tedesco, the Red Devils are without a number of players from their famous ‘Golden Generation’, including Eden Hazard, but they will still be expected to challenge in Germany.

France | Group B
Two-time European champions France topped Group B to secure qualification for Euro 2024, easily beating the Netherlands, Greece and the Republic of Ireland.

Kylian Mbappe and his teammates will be among the favorites to win in Germany, provided they remain focused.

Portugal | Group J
Portugal’s route to Euro 2024 was confirmed in October as they destroyed every team in Group J, leaving Slovakia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and others far behind.

Cristiano Ronaldo played his part in sending his country to Germany, where they will compete in the European Championship for the ninth time in their history.

Spain | Group A
After a shaky start, Spain returned to form and cruised through Group A, beating Scotland and Erling Haaland’s Norway.

The three-time European champions are on a mission to make up for a barren few years which have seen them fail to win a major tournament since 2012.

With young talents like Lamine Yamal and Gavi in their ranks, the baton has been passed to the next generation of La Roja stars.

Scotland | Group A
Scotland will take part in Euro 2024 thanks to an impressive qualifying performance, which saw them beat Spain, Norway, Georgia and Cyprus.

This will be only their fourth appearance at the European Championship, having previously only participated in Euro 2020, Euro 1996 and Euro 1992.

Turkey | Group D
Turkey qualified for Euro 2024 after showing strange form in Group D, which also featured Wales and Croatia.

Despite a home defeat to Croatia earlier in the group, Turkey bounced back well, with big performances from Cenk Tosun, Arda Guler and Kerem Akturkoglu pushing them towards Germany.

Austria Group F
Austria qualified for Euro 2024 after clawing their way through a tough Group F. Monday saw them beat Azerbaijan 1-0 thanks to a goal from first-half substitute Marcel Sabitzer. They are second in Group F, level on 16 points with also qualified Belgium.

They will be looking to improve on their run at Euro 2020 which saw them crash out in the round of 16 after extra time to eventual winners Italy.

England | Group C
England qualified for the European Championship for the ninth time in the last ten editions of the tournament after a 3-1 win against Italy at Wembley in the 8th match. Manager Gareth Southgate will be hoping to go one better than last time, when the Three Lions lost the EURO 2020 final to Italy on penalties at Wembley.
